Cast Iron Manhole Cover
- Description

Product Introduction
●Material and Process: Mainly made of ductile iron (mainstream) or gray cast iron, formed through sand casting or centrifugal casting processes. Some products are reinforced with steel mesh to enhance structural stability, and the surface can be treated with anti-corrosion treatments such as hot-dip galvanizing and spraying.
●Core features: Extremely strong load-bearing capacity (ductile iron manhole cover compressive strength ≥ 400MPa), capable of meeting heavy vehicle compaction (compatible with A15 to F900 load standards at all levels); The material is hard and wear-resistant, with a long service life (up to 20-30 years under normal use); Good sealing performance, effectively preventing dust and odor diffusion; Traditional gray cast iron manhole covers have recycling value and pose a risk of theft. Nowadays, they are often improved through design optimization (such as installing anti-theft locks and reducing recycling value).
●Specification types: Common circular (diameter: 500mm, 600mm, 700mm, etc.), square, thickness: 10-50mm, classified according to load level as light (pedestrian/non motorized vehicle lane), heavy (motorized vehicle lane/highway), and super heavy (airport/dock), in accordance with GB/T 23858-2009 "Manhole Cover" standard.
Product Usage
Widely used in municipal infrastructure (rainwater wells, sewage wells, gas wells, communication wells, power well covers for urban roads and sidewalks), transportation fields (various inspection well covers for highways, national highways, and provincial highways), building and industrial scenes (drainage ditches, maintenance wells, fire well covers for residential areas, factories, schools), as well as places with high requirements for carrying capacity and stability such as gas stations, ports, and docks, it is a traditional and mainstream solution for inspection well coverage.
